About the Job
As Customer Service Agent, you will be responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service standards through operational excellence in freight operations, proper documentation, and efficient and smooth handling of all freight activities for current and potential clients, in the best interest of DSV.
Responsibilities
- Always deliver best-in-class customer service to all DSV customers.
- Interact with customers and vendors to establish DSV SOPs.
- Keep customers updated regarding arrival times, delays, or transit issues.
- Help ensure that customer expectations are always met or exceeded.
- Ensure all communications are professional, timely, and appropriately handled using the best medium.
- Handle both internal and external correspondence professionally.
- Send routing, follow up with origin, and update customers with freight status at all stages until freight arrives in Saudi Arabia.
- Update the tracking sheet with freight status and send it to the customer on a daily basis.
- Negotiate rates with carriers and update the Export Rate sheet in SharePoint.
- Create jobs in CW1 for all export shipments.
- Quote agents and customers for all export inquiries.
- Monitor, report, communicate, and liaise appropriately with customers, carriers, and vendors.
- Provide regular updates to the Line Manager.
- Perform any other related duties or projects assigned by the supervisor from time to time to meet business needs.
