Position Required
The Communications and Networks Engineering Department, College of Engineering at Prince Sultan University, is seeking applicants with the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor in Electrical Engineering for its upcoming Academic Year 2026/2027, which starts in August 2026.
The candidate is expected to teach undergraduate courses in:
- Electrical Circuits
- Electronics Engineering
- Advanced Electronics
- Power Electronics
- Semiconductor Design
- Logic Design
- Senior Design Project
- Other subjects related to Electrical Engineering based on expertise and background
Required Qualifications
- Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field from a reputable institution.
- Those with professional certification and/or professional experience, mainly in teaching and scientific research activity, will be given preference in hiring consideration.
- Candidates affiliated with internationally well-known organizations will be at the top for hiring consideration.
- Commitment to quality in teaching, research, and services is required.
Additional Required Qualifications
- Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field from a reputable and accredited institution.
- Candidates are expected to demonstrate a solid research profile, including evidence of scholarly activity such as publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences, and the potential to develop a sustainable research program.
- Experience or interest in areas related to nanoelectronics, microelectronics, VLSI design, or semiconductor devices is highly desirable, particularly in the context of contributing to the development of a Nanoelectronics Center within the department.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with electronic design automation (EDA) tools such as Synopsys and Cadence, particularly for IC design, simulation, and verification.
- Background in analog and/or digital VLSI design, layout, or fabrication processes.
- Experience with advanced CMOS technologies, RFIC, system-on-chip (SoC) design, or mixed-signal circuits.
- Prior involvement in funded research projects, industry collaboration, or technology development.
