We are seeking a qualified Estimation & Design Engineer – Fire Protection Systems to join our team in Jeddah. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimations, designing fire protection systems, and supporting the sales and project teams during tendering and execution stages. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of fire protection systems, international standards, and project estimation procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimations and technical proposals for fire protection systems including firefighting and fire alarm systems.
- Review tender documents, BOQs, drawings, and specifications to prepare accurate project estimates.
- Design fire protection systems such as sprinkler systems, fire pumps, hydrant systems, hose reels, foam systems, and fire alarm systems.
- Perform hydraulic calculations and system layouts in compliance with international and local standards.
- Coordinate with sales, procurement, and project teams during tendering and project execution.
- Conduct technical clarifications and value engineering to optimize project costs.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards such as NFPA, UL, FM, and local civil defense requirements.
- Prepare technical submittals, material take-offs, and system calculations.
- Support project teams with technical guidance during installation and commissioning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in estimation and design of fire protection systems.
