Role Overview
We are looking for Commis 1, 2 & 3 Chefs to join the Calo Now project. The role involves supporting the kitchen team by executing daily preparation tasks in line with Calo’s nutritional standards.
The successful candidate will demonstrate consistency, attention to detail, and a strong sense of hygiene, playing a key role in maintaining and enhancing customer satisfaction through efficiency and strict adherence to safety protocols. Candidates with a strong à la carte background are preferred.
Relationships & Working Expectations
- Work under the guidance of senior chefs and CDPs within the section.
- Collaborate closely with Kitchen Management and Production Leads to ensure workflow efficiency and production consistency.
- Work on a shift basis in temperature-controlled environments with mandatory use of personal protective equipment during operations.
Chef De Partie - Cold
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a CDP is required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience within the hospitality and catering industry.
- Must be currently present in KSA.
- Proficient in English communication.
- Experience in a food manufacturing facility is a plus.
Knowledge and Competency
- Team-leading experience.
- Strong kitchen management capabilities.
- Ability to delegate responsibilities and monitor progress.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes.
Sous Chef
Qualifications
- 6–8 years of culinary experience, including at least 2 years as Sous Chef or strong Jr. Sous Chef.
- Experience in dine-in, à la carte, or fine casual dining restaurants.
- Strong background in plating and modern presentation styles.
- Culinary degree or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Currently based in the GCC region.
- Willing to relocate to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
- Strong English communication skills.
Chef De Partie - Bakery
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a CDP in a bakery environment.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in hospitality, preferably bakery, pastry, or dessert production.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience required.
- Must be currently present in KSA.
- Proficient in English.
Knowledge & Competency
- Proven team leadership experience.
- Strong bakery and kitchen management skills.
- Ability to assign responsibilities and monitor progress.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Up-to-date with bakery trends and optimized processes.
Food Packer
Main Responsibilities
- Portion meal components accurately for each customer before delivery.
- Coordinate with drivers and Customer Experience team to ensure excellent service.
- Maintain high hygiene standards in the kitchen.
- Handle last-minute changes while maintaining quality standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
- 1–2 years of dispatching experience in the food industry, preferably fast food.
- Strong commitment to hygiene standards.
- Proficient in English communication.
- Good communication skills.
- Knowledge of food safety is a plus.
- Currently based in Riyadh.
