Commis Chef – Butcher
Learning & Development:
Work closely with the Chef de Partie to learn new cuts and preparation methods
Attend IHG training sessions on food safety and culinary skills
High-Level Requirements:
Diploma or recognized certification in Culinary Arts
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar butchery role within a fine-dining or luxury hotel environment
Strong expertise in meat, poultry, and seafood preparation and portioning
Solid knowledge of hygiene, food safety, and HACCP procedures
Previous GCC experience preferred, especially within 4- or 5-star branded hotels
Ability to work in high-volume operations and multicultural team environments
Good communication skills and commitment to maintaining quality and consistency
Demi Chef De Partie – Cold Section
Daily Responsibilities:
Making every single meal a feast for the eyes and a treat for the tastebuds
Taking ownership for your workstation – keeping on top of supplies, equipment, and waste
Maintaining cleanliness to meet or exceed local hygiene laws
Helping with washing up and other kitchen duties where needed
Taking on other ad-hoc duties as a true team player
Requirements:
Strength to lift, push, and pull objects up to 50 lbs (23 kg), including bending and kneeling
Good grasp of reading, writing, and basic maths
Flexibility to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts
Compliance with local food handling laws; must meet age requirements and be fluent in the local language
Great communication – warm, welcoming, and easy to talk to
Junior Sous Chef – Pastry
Candidate Requirements:
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in pastry, preferably in 5-star hotels
Strong knowledge of classical and modern pastry techniques
Experience in plated desserts, bakery, and chocolate work is an advantage
Good leadership and team-management skills
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations
