1. Operations Executive
To effectively supervise and facilitate the daily activities and tasks of the assigned personnel/staff in the department. Reports directly to the assistant manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- In-charge of creating the weekly / monthly schedule for all staff, assures adequate manpower are distributed for each section.
- Distributes work assignments per individual as directed by department manager.
- Provides permission for request of overtime of an employee.
- Monitors attendance as specified from the provided schedule.
- Facilitates the training and developing of newly hired employee as directed by the department manager.
- Recommends deserving employees for promotion and endorses termination for incompetent individual.
- Receives and discusses departmental work instructions from the manager, as such handles down the work scope to operations supervisors.
- Finalizes the request of supplies needed for operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist on enforcement, administering of daily operations of the terminal in order to optimize resource use, minimize costs and maintain quality standards.
- Lead and motivate the Operations Team to ensure levels of service meet or exceed customers’ expectations and that all departments have a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ensure that the respective unit operates strictly in accordance with statutory work, health, safety, environment and security requirements.
- Represent the company on external committees and associations when needed.
- Participate in SOP reviews.
- Ensure that Sr. Officers and Officers are able to deliver the terminal requirements within a given time frame.
- Frequently perform Safety Inspection and highlight potential risks and suggest corrective actions.
- Managing roster of their respective section or unit to ensure adequate manpower is available to deliver the requirement.

- Other related tasks delegated by the management.

3. Assistant Commercial Manager
Support the Commercial manager to coordinate and works closely with various departments to resolve contractual and commercial issues and claims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing commercial strategies according to company goals and objectives aiming to accelerate growth.
- Conducting market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities (expansion, business development etc.).
- Understanding the requirements of existing customers to ensure their needs are being met.
- Responsible for providing measurable input to the terminals business strategy within the limits of the role.

- Upsell service offering in existing shipping line contracts.
- Responsible for attracting and retaining general cargo customers as well as developing and selling services to landside users. Ensure development of a highly professional relationship to the various decision makers within these segments.
- Clearly articulate the customer value proposition to secure growth and a profitable sales development.
- Ensure thorough understanding of capabilities of competing ports and terminals. Ensure this is properly translated into the terminal’s Commercial Strategy.
- Identify, develop and oversee local end-user business opportunities.
- Review analysis of marketing surveys on current and new product/service concepts in order to recommend future development.
- Manage and maintain relationships with key accounts locally.
- Assist when necessary in establishing or reviewing customs and other external procedures affecting port users.
- Measure and communicate commercial results to the organization (periodically).
- Act to acquire new customers and manage client relationships (new and existing).
- Collaborate with and coordinate diverse teams (marketing, sales, customer service etc.).
- Build and maintain profitable partnerships with key stakeholders.
- Monitor performance of commercial activities using key metrics and prepare reports for senior management.

- To productively conduct and lead Operations meetings of the Team and make sense out of that activity by resolving issues and ensures that all operations problems are resolved to the satisfaction of all port users.
- To function harmoniously with all the port users/clients such as the Shipping Lines, Harbor Pilots, Custom Brokers, Transporters and other Governmental agencies, thereby establishing good business relationship.
- To make certain that all Terminal activities are conducted in a professional and safe manner at all times.
- To fully control and coordinate the daily allocation of manpower and equipment, making sure that these requirements are sufficient to serve the activities in all the areas in the Terminal.
- To routinely observe on-going operations in all areas, to ascertain that established productivity and work procedures as per SOP’s are met and even exceeded, and to initiate appropriate action when standards are not met.
