• During the Junior Legal Associate training period, the candidate will settle into the corporate in-house legal environment.

• Expected to familiarize themselves with governance matters such as by-laws and internal regulations.

• Focus on gaining familiarity with less complex agreements, including non-disclosure agreements, confidentiality agreements, undertakings, lease agreements, consultancy agreements, and similar documents.

Specialist, Internal Control & Compliance

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist in reviewing and updating the internal control and compliance framework, policies, and manuals to align with regulatory and organizational standards.

2. Conduct detailed assessments of internal control systems across key departments, identifying weaknesses and escalating urgent issues or breaches.

3. Support investigations related to breaches of internal control policies and recommend corrective actions.

4. Monitor and report on key compliance indicators, ensuring early detection of potential risks.

5. Facilitate the implementation of the organization’s compliance framework, including maintaining updated compliance registers for all key departments.

6. Assist the enterprise risk management function in addressing regulatory compliance risks.

7. Track new regulatory developments and ensure compliance registers and libraries are updated with the latest regulatory changes.

8. Foster strong working relationships with compliance owners and champions across various departments.
