Dietary Aide

At Extendicare, we are looking for a dedicated Dietary Aide to assist in plating and serving meals, as well as maintaining cleanliness in serving areas and equipment. You’ll work closely with our culinary team to ensure residents receive high-quality, safe meals tailored to their preferences.

Available Opportunities: Full-Time/Part-Time/Casual; Day/Evening/Night shifts

What You’ll Be Doing

• Serve food to residents according to individual diets and preferences.

• Ensure meals are served within the designated time limits and maintain proper serving temperature.

• Assist cooks in cleaning and preparing uncooked food such as salads, vegetables, and fruits.

• Follow basic instructions to prepare simple foods, including breakfast items, basic desserts, and garnishes.

Receptionist

We are seeking an efficient Receptionist to be the first point of contact for visitors and help manage the daily operations of the business office in collaboration with the Operation Manager. This role includes handling administrative tasks such as payroll duties and accounts processing.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Greet visitors, determine the purpose of their visit, and direct them to the appropriate person or service.

• Support and supervise business office activities in collaboration with the Operation Manager.

• Process accounts payable & receivable and assist in collection efforts.

• Complete payroll duties and act as a backup for Staffing and Attendance Coordination.

• Adhere to policies and procedures related to quality assurance, fire safety, occupational health, and infection control.

This position is based at Extendicare Mapleview Home in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Manage and oversee the home’s IPAC program, working with leadership and IPAC consultants to ensure successful development and implementation.

• Supervise staff in relation to the IPAC program, ensuring adherence to provincial standards, protocols, and Extendicare policies.

• Conduct audits and ensure continuous improvement of the IPAC program.

Personal Support Worker (PSW) - Temporary Part-Time
