Vacant Positions:

               Repair and Overhaul Technician

 Distinguishing Characteristics

The Overhaul and Repair Mechanic is primarily responsible for major disassembly, repair, rebuilding, assembly, diagnostic, and testing duties related to overhauling Air Conditioning equipment and their components.

Supervision Received and Exercised

This position reports to the Overhaul and Repair Foreman and has no direct supervisory responsibility. The role requires active participation in sharing expert knowledge and contributing as a vital member of the HVAC equipment maintenance team.

Working Conditions

The work environment is typical of a shop maintenance setting, where the essential functions and responsibilities are performed in a maintenance facility under various weather conditions and around moving vehicles and equipment. The job involves working in assigned areas that may include work on ladders and uneven ground. The Overhaul and Repair Mechanic has frequent exposure to electrical, mechanical, weather, and physical hazards and uses hand tools to perform a wide range of overhaul, installation, maintenance, and repair activities.

Examples of Duties

Essential Functions

• Troubleshoots, conducts root cause analysis, repairs, rebuilds, overhauls, and inspects a variety of air conditioning equipment.
• Removes, repairs, rebuilds, overhauls, and installs components of mechanical and electrical systems, control systems, valves, pumps, tanks, compressors, heat exchangers, piping, alternators, generators, distributors, starters, blowers, and fuel metering devices.
• Overhauls reciprocating, screw, and centrifugal compressors.
• Installs and adjusts sub-components on related compressor components and repairs/calibrates gauges and meters.
• Maintains and installs safety circuits, interlocks, environmental systems, and related components.

Qualifications

Experience/Education

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in the maintenance and repair of air conditioning systems.

General Requirements

• Qualified to perform duties and pass physical characteristics examinations.
• Must successfully complete training for current and new systems.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work on a continuous basis.
• Must be able to read and comprehend regulations and instructions and have good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, and customers and handle conflict situations effectively.
• Ability to maintain alertness, awareness, and vigilance.
• Good oral and written communication skills (providing clear instructions and directions).
• Successfully complete and maintain required safety certifications and testing on an annual basis.

Machines / Tools / Equipment

• Ability to operate a personal computer, tablet, and Microsoft Office Suite programs.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment, including a fax and scanner, copier, and telephone.
• Ability to carry and operate a mobile device.
• Ability to operate two-way radios.

بيئة العمل نموذجية لبيئة صيانة الورشة، حيث يتم تنفيذ الوظائف والمسؤوليات الأساسية في منشأة صيانة في ظل ظروف جوية مختلفة وحول المركبات والمعدات المتحركة. تتضمن الوظيفة العمل في مناطق محددة قد تشمل العمل على السلالم والأرض غير المستوية. يتعرض ميكانيكي الإصلاح والترميم بشكل متكرر للمخاطر الكهربائية والميكانيكية والطقس والجسدية ويستخدم الأدوات اليدوية لأداء مجموعة واسعة من أنشطة الإصلاح والتركيب والصيانة والإصلاح.

• يزيل ويصلح ويعيد بناء ويفحص ويثبت مكونات الأنظمة الميكانيكية والكهربائية وأنظمة التحكم والصمامات والمضخات والخزانات والضواغط والمبادلات الحرارية والأنابيب والمولدات والمولدات والموزعات والمبتدئين والمراوح وأجهزة قياس الوقود.
• يقوم بإصلاح ضواغط الهواء الترددية والمسمارية والطرد المركزي.
• يقوم بتثبيت وضبط المكونات الفرعية على مكونات الضاغط ذات الصلة وإصلاح/معايرة المقاييس وأجهزة القياس.
• صيانة وتثبيت دوائر السلامة، وأنظمة الترابط، والأنظمة البيئية، والمكونات ذات الصلة.

المؤهلات

الخبرة/التعليم

• مطلوب شهادة الثانوية العامة أو شهادة GED.
• -خبرة لا تقل عن أربع (4) سنوات في صيانة وإصلاح أنظمة تكييف الهواء.

المتطلبات العامة

• مؤهل لأداء المهام واجتياز اختبارات الخصائص الجسدية.
• يجب إكمال التدريب على الأنظمة الحالية والجديدة بنجاح.
• القدرة على أداء الأعمال التي تتطلب مجهودا جسديا مستمرا.
• يجب أن يكون قادرًا على قراءة وفهم اللوائح والتعليمات وأن يتمتع بمهارات تواصل لفظي جيدة.
• القدرة على تطوير علاقات عمل إيجابية والحفاظ عليها مع زملاء العمل والمشرفين والعملاء والتعامل مع حالات الصراع بشكل فعال.
• القدرة على الحفاظ على اليقظة والوعي واليقظة.
• مهارات جيدة في التواصل الشفهي والكتابي (تقديم تعليمات وتوجيهات واضحة).
• إكمال والحفاظ على شهادات السلامة والاختبارات المطلوبة بنجاح على أساس سنوي.
