Overview
The launch of the Colleges
- Since the commencement of the development programs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the five-year development plans have sought to create a development platform aiming at implementing the saudization of several jobs in various sectors, especially the health sector, where the Kingdom has relied for a long period of time on non-Saudi health professionals. The plan brought out the dire need for the establishment of health educational foundations, institutes, academies, colleges and universities concerned with qualifying the national human resources in this field.
- In light of the fact that education and training are fundamental to the development and growth process, the Saudi Kingdom took every effort to support the public and higher education sectors. This has been driven by an extensive vision to provide a balanced development among various regions across the country. The Saudi Kingdom succeeded to manage the largest development plan in higher education resulting in a massive breakthrough of Saudi universities which reached 24 governmental universities in addition to 27 private universities and colleges.
- Starting from this point, Al-Ghad International Colleges for Applied Medical Sciences opened its arms widely to welcome students across various campuses spread throughout the Kingdom. The colleges served in the preparation and qualification of Saudi professionals; contributed in training and promoting the skills needed for the health service field within the Kingdom; provided female and male students with outstanding scientific knowledge and individual skills in order to enhance their ability to compete in the local, Arab and international labor market; contributed to open the prospects for scientific research in various fields; and, last but not least, the colleges met the continuing needs of the society in the areas of economic, social and technical development.

Responsibilities :
- Activating the use of the Saudi Digital Library databases.
- Proposing amendments to the guides regulating library management (library policy guide – library usage guide).
- Determining the college’s needs for references, books, periodicals, bulletins, and other learning resources in coordination with the academic departments.
- Managing the systems used in libraries, such as indexing and others, and updating them continuously.
- Archiving audio, visual, written and other multimedia learning aids and organizing their preservation in the library.
- the monthly bulletin with various references and any new developments, and distributing it to the college.
- Ensure that the necessary equipment is available to protect the library contents.
- Organizing internal and external borrowing operations.
- Coordinating with academic departments to identify new developments in references and sources of knowledge and learning that can be added to the library.

Responsibilities:
- Participate in implementing the college’s vision and mission.
- Implementing educational and training programmes, each in relation to and according to the study plan and the prescribed curriculum.
- Teaching the courses assigned to him according to the quotas set by the system.
- Conducting exercises and practical lessons according to the prescribed quotas.
- Carrying out all work related to the tests of the courses he teaches: (setting questions - correcting - reviewing and checking).
- To convey to his students the latest developments in his field of specialization.
- Participate in developing the college’s programs and work procedures.
- Participation in the work of department councils, committees, college activities, and scientific research programs.
- Attending department council sessions, contributing to them, and voting on their decisions and recommendations.

- تفعيل استخدام قواعد بيانات المكتبة الرقمية السعودية.
- اقتراح تعديلات على الأدلة المنظمة لإدارة المكتبات (دليل سياسة المكتبة – دليل استخدام المكتبات).
- تحديد احتياجات الكلية من المراجع والكتب والدوريات والنشرات وغيرها من مصادر التعلم بالتنسيق مع الأقسام الأكاديمية.
- إدارة الأنظمة المستخدمة في المكتبات مثل الفهرسة وغيرها وتحديثها بشكل مستمر.
- أرشفة الوسائل التعليمية السمعية والبصرية والمكتوبة والوسائط المتعددة الأخرى وتنظيم حفظها داخل المكتبة.
- - النشرة الشهرية التي تتضمن المراجع المختلفة وأية مستجدات، وتوزيعها على الكلية.
- تأكد من توفر المعدات اللازمة لحماية محتويات المكتبة.
- تنظيم عمليات الاقتراض الداخلي والخارجي.
- التنسيق مع الأقسام الأكاديمية للتعرف على ما هو جديد في المراجع ومصادر المعرفة والتعلم التي يمكن إضافتها إلى المكتبة.
