Program Officer
- Effectively manage a portfolio of grants and partnerships, in support of research and development in the specific field of expertise, in order to achieve the organization’s goals of driving progress in the fields of longevity and extension of healthy human lifespan.
- Monitor and assess the impact of the portfolio, and ensure it aligns with Hevolution Foundation’s vision, mission, and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with the grantmaking workflow processes, forms, templates, reports and data, to assure full compliance with internal controls and legal requirements.
- Monitor grants and partnerships for scientific and legal compliance, including but not limited to ensuring that requirements are correctly documented in the grant files and database.
- Oversee the reputational review of potential grant recipients, in collaboration with the communications office and PR function; ensure compliance with all applicable law and regulations, in collaboration with the legal office.
- Ensure, in coordination with the ethics and Financial Departments, that all fund disbursements are in compliance with Hevolution Foundation’s policies, procedures and applicable rules and regulations.
- When appropriate, oversee the transfer of grants to other relevant functions within Hevolution Foundation, and ensure they reach the right beneficiaries, in alignment with the agreed upon standards and rules.
- Ensure alignment and collaboration with the investment office, to capitalize on possible synergies.
Medical Manager
- A medical degree (e.g., MBBS, MD) in a relevant therapeutic area such as family practice, internal medicine, neurology, or a diagnostic specialty and board certification in relevant area.
- Fully accredited as a physician with appropriate supporting evidence
- Has clinical experience (residency training acceptable) and ideally business experience in the Commercial/Strategy arena.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience of integrating and translating science into the clinical setting.
- Ideally will have helped shape the strategic direction in research of a department/function/institution.
- Ability to translate complex science to the broader non-scientific audience.
- Hands-on mentality. Ability to take ownership of outcomes.
- Understand the challenges and nuances of a start-up situation.
