Procurement Officer
The Procurement Officer will be responsible for supporting vessel operations, procurement control, crew coordination, and communication between vessels and office teams.
- Ensure vessel budgets are followed regarding food provisions and housekeeping purchases
- Liaise with Captains and Crew to maintain positive communication between vessels and office staff
- Promote the safety and well-being of seafaring personnel and company property
- Conduct technical interviews for deck officer candidates and select suitable crew members
- Brief Masters, Officers, and crew before vessel assignments regarding their roles and responsibilities
- Clearly communicate company expectations to all crew members
- Coordinate with the Personnel Department regarding travel, crew changes, and personnel matters
- Monitor crew overlap days and ensure smooth crew transitions
- Experience in procurement, maritime operations, or vessel management
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to manage vessel budgets and procurement activities
- Experience interviewing and coordinating vessel crew
- Good understanding of maritime operations and crew management procedures
