About the job
Scope:
The Procurement Officer is accountable for placing orders, following up on pending orders and reconciling vendor accounts while issuing vendor reports accordingly.
Responsibilities:
- Handle the department administrative tasks and support the Procurement Manager and team members in their day-to-day activities;
- Place orders with suppliers as per order processing guidelines;
- Update the customers and the CRM team on lead-time;
- Coordinate logistics for deliveries including scheduling and shipping;
- Issue weekly and monthly reports as per vendor requirements;
- Update the sales and product teams on pricing, order status, hold issues, backorders, freight quotes, order consolidation and delivery status;
- Provide necessary reports on PO backlog and share with management;
- Investigate product complaints and raise return material authorization (RMA) request to vendors;
